If you have, or are planning to donate to Irish Mission Agencies Partnership and any of it's Partner Missions, your gift may be dramatically increased simply by availing of the Charity Tax Scheme(ROI).

If you donate €250 or more in one calendar year and are a PAYE-Only tax payer, Irish Mission Agencies Partnership can claim Tax back on your gift, at no extra cost to you .

Under the Irish governments Tax Relief scheme, if you donated €250 throughout the year, Irish Mission Agencies Partnership can claim back:

  • An additional €173.73 directly from the government, if you pay tax at the higher rate
  • Or a further €62.50, if you pay tax at the standard rate.

The Tax Relief amount we receive back is proportional to your donations; the higher your donations, the more tax we can claim back. To calculate how much more your donation could be worth, see our FAQ section below.

Thanks to the generosity of donors who have donated to Irish Mission Agencies Partnership and taken the time to send back the completed form, we have been able to give extra to iMAP partner missions to benefit further.

Irish Mission Agencies Partnership sends out tax forms once a year to donors who qualify for tax back on their donations. All you need to do is complete the form/s, and return to iMAP.  Remember, this costs you nothing and it does not affect your tax situation in any way. If you are Self-Assessed or a Company you can reclaim the tax yourself when you complete your annual tax return. If I give to a number of charities, can I claim the total amount from the scheme?

A charity can only claim from the donations given to it and these donations have to be over €250. For example, if you give €150 to charity X and €150 to charity Y throughout the year, the charities will not be eligible to claim relief on either donation. However if donations are given to several of our partners the combined donations through iMAP as a charity may enable the total to exceed the €250.

How much do I need to give to make my monthly Direct Debit Tax efficient?

Direct debits give us the all-important security to plan ahead, budget more efficiently, and make our limited resources go so much further. A monthly donation of €21 per month will make your donation to Irish Mission Agencies Partnership go that extra bit further.
