iMap has 5 objectives:
• To operate a centre for the promotion of mission at home and overseas.
• To maintain a web-site advertising: service opportunities, prayer points, regional events and mission resources.
• To act as a clearing house for mission agencies who send personnel overseas.
• To assist our partners in mission to network effectively.
• To provide biblical & practical resources to engage Irish churches in mission.
One of iMap’s key aims is to
network Missions with Irish Churches. We would appreciate your
participation in this. Little by little we are developing a data base
for linking with Churches in regional areas in preparation for regional
events.
To register your mission with iMAP send the contact details to info@imap.ie
and indicate the key contact person for missions development.
Registration of missions is in two levels, standard and full membership.
(The standard mission partnership does not include the processing of finance to missions through iMAP for the purpose of charity status in the Republic of Ireland for tax reclaim on giving from tax paying donors. Where missions have charity status in Ireland giving will be advised to go through directly to them. Any donations that do come in will be processed and adjustments made accordingly.)
Mission Partners will receive
notification of iMAP regional events coming up promoting missions. Mission partners are represented on our advisory
board to assist in the guiding of iMAP in Ireland. For more details see
our about us page on our web site www.imap.ie .
Mission Partners
Our 25 mission partners are listed on www.imap.ie/partners.asp
Mission partnership includes the following:
- Processing of giving from donors to missions. (charity status tax reclaim is processed for full members)
- Linking potential missionary contacts with our mission partners.
- Forwarding on missionary applications and CVs to the relevant missions.
- Arranging and notifying of regional mission presentation event opportunities.
- Maintaining a web site with links to our mission partners information and opportunities.
- Representation at events with displays and information about our partners and opportunities.
The Great Commission
We want to
communicate the vision for the Great Commission to all believers in
Ireland and provide important links to all interested in taking up the
challenge.
To assist in our
database please send me contact details of other churches or fellowship
groups in your area so that I may clearly represent them also. (Or
simply forward this message to other churches that you are linked
with.) I am grateful for your partnership in the gospel and I hope to
be of further assistance to you in the future.
